Who are we?

Marc Sirera

Jeweler skiers and skier jeweler?

Involved to the craft world of jewelry and mountain from I was very young, it is to me very difficult to understand one thing without the other, since the nature and the mountains have always been a reference point for inspiration in my designs.

I have a jeweler’s vocation since I began to work in the family workshop, I am the 6th generation, so I decided to study jewelry to expand knowledge in the school of Arts and crafts in Vic, and later at JORGC school (official school of jewelers and goldsmiths of Catalonia), where I graduated in the third promotion (1993-1996).

At the same time I am studying in the Spanish School of Ski Ski teacher, to get the degree on alpine skiing and telemark. That way I could combined professionally my great passion for skiing with my great vocation for jewelry for 20 years.

I am a jeweler by chance when on 1998 I decided to open a jewelry workshop in the Seu d’Urgell. I have been doing basketry, forge, restore furniture or any manual activity, it doesn’t matter the type of the material.

Thanks to the place where I live, it is difficult to escape from practicing outdoor sports. La Seu d’Urgell is one of the towns at the foot of the Pyrenees where more diversity of sports can be practiced. Since my childhood, I have been able to impregnate myself with all these sports, whether climbing, mountain biking, cycling, paragliding, base jumping… and, above all, to see my surrounding.

The dynamism of the sport has transported me to work in parallel at my jewels, pieces with a jewelry essence but with a modern, current and new touch, where organic ingredients, sports and dynamic are represented.

The textures, from the visual to the touch ones, that nature offers me, it reflected in the jewelry that I think and make. The nature of the environment is my source of ideas for my creation.
